Tine K Home

Tine Kjeldsen opened her company in Denmark at the young age of 22. Kjeldsen has stood out amongst the other "shabby chic" interior decorators in the area by creating "a more minimalistic approach: clean colors in grey, blue, white, dark brown and black which eventually lead to the creation of a collection of cushions and quilts, and consequently the foundation of the company Tine K Home."

The posting below is a selection of images from Tine's own Danish home which clearly defines her company's style and methodology to creating a minimalistic home (all the while offering a cozy feel)

"According to me, the future is interesting, difficult and rather complex, but I try not to complicate matters: live your life in a simple way – and live in happiness.
I am confident, I stay true to myself, and I am sure my collection is a reflection of how I perceive myself. Hence its name: Remember Yourself."          - Tine Kjeldsen

Apartment Therapy kudos

Below is a selection of images I found off of Apartment Therapy's website. Kudos to Apartment Therapy for always having interesting articles and beautiful images to inspire us all.

I have the Crate and Barrel couch in this image :) love it

What a neat idea for exposed kitchen shelving! It's revealing, yet disguising. Also very versatile with the rolling panels.

love all these photos!

Finally Comfortable in Our Apartment

After many DIY's and multiple weekends of rearranging the apartment - I would say that Alex and I are finally comfortable in our apartment. Please take a look at some of the pics to see how the place turned out.

I'll be sure to post some more DIY projects from our apartment shortly.

The Brooklyn Home Co.

The following images are from Design Sponge.
This Brownstone is by The Brooklyn Home Co.  Designed by  fitzhugh karol, a woodworker and sculptor, and lyndsay caleo, a jewelry designer and goldsmith.
According to Karol and Caleo, "Moving to New York was a big jump for both of us, having grown up in the country. The main goal for our living space in NY was to create a departure from the city. We looked at many brownstones but there were very few buildings on the market that fit our model. We needed lots natural light, outdoor space, room for plenty of guests, a bathroom for two, storage, a great kitchen, personal workspace, and 3 rental apartments to help with the mortgage. (In a 55' x 20' brownstone we had to be creative.) We approached the project like a puzzle and it was just a matter of figuring out how it would all fit together."
The following images are the outcome of their collaboration. . .
